Gateway Village

ABOUT

Gateway Village is being planned as a community for the local workforce that serves the tourist mecca in Summit, Eagle and Lake counties.

The Background: For many years, the average worker in this area has not been able to afford a place to live, and the situation seems to get worse every year. Real estate values have been driven skyward because of the shortage of supply and the amazing lifestyle inherent with living there. The solution: Gateway Village, a workforce housing community, now in the early stages of development. Located only a short commute to the high-country job centers.

High-mountain community
Conveniently located only 20 minutes south of Copper Mountain and a world away from the hustle and bustle of the ski resort tourism, the goal is to break ground in Summer 2020 and be available for first occupancy in  Summer 2021. Housing options will include both apartments for rent and townhomes for sale, all at below-market prices. Anticipating that future residents love the outdoors, the community will be designed to accommodate a mountain lifestyle, complete with mountain adventure coaches and commuter vans.

Phase 1 Gateway Village

has a combination of apartments for rent and townhomes for sale. Future phases will provide housing of the type dictated by the marketplace. Because Gateway Village is being designed to help solve the workforce housing problem, the development team’s intention is for these homes to be used primarily for people who have jobs in the ski-country region or who are searching for jobs there.

Drive Time to Gateway Village

Only a two hour drive from the Denver airport, it’s the same drive time as when going to Vail. The site is a short commute to several areas with employment opportunities:

The job postings for most of these locations require the candidate having secured a place to live in order to even be processed as a job applicant. Gateway Village can be your solution to that problem.

Site Plan

The Gateway Village site is bounded by State Highway 91 on the east and U.S. Highway 24 on the west, approximately 20 miles south of the I-70 Copper Mountain exchange. It is on a plateau overlooking the headwaters of the Arkansas River.

The Gateway Village site plan that is being planned can be seen at this link. Target date for approval: Summer 2020.

Floor Plans

The floor plans and target monthly rental rates for the apartments can be
seen
at this link. These apartments will be factory-built to assure consistency of quality and materials.

Although the primary goal of Gateway Village is to help solve the workforce housing problem for current residents, another goal is to attract people whose jobs allow them to live and work anywhere, and would like to enjoy a Rocky Mountain lifestyle. If you are in that category and would like to apply for one of these homes, or even a collection of these homes for your co-workers, to fill out a Housing Application. There is no financial obligation associated with completing this application.

If the number of applications for Gateway Village homes is more than the available supply, a key factor to determine who gets the homes will be the date that the application was submitted. First come, first served!
